Rishon Le’Zion

Rishon Le’Zion was one of the first settlements in modern-day Israel. The Israeli national flag and hymn were conceived here, and the city was soon an important part of the nation’s fast development.

For many years, together with other pastors in Rishon Le’Zion, we’ve had early morning prayers, and now the vision of united prayer has spread to other cities as well, including Jerusalem.

Over the years, we have received the same vision twice, from different people:
It is the vision of Rishon Le’Zion as a main water well, with 12 smaller wells around it, each receiving water from the main well. Tehilat-Yah Congregation has people from Rishon Le’Zion and many surrounding smaller towns. We believe that vision speaks of homegroups in Rishon Lezion first, and then in each of the surrounding towns, which function like small wells.

During the recent war with Iran, the first in our region (Tel Aviv and surrounding cities) to be hit by a powerful ballistic missile was a neighborhood in Rishon Le’Zion, not far from our home.

Then also neighborhoods in other towns, particularly Bat Yam, were hit, including the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, where we have students who are part of the congregation, which was severely harmed.

This whole situation moved us to increase our prayers of intercession.
