Margoa is the Hebrew word for rest, peace, relaxation, serenity. Beit Margoa is our home, but also a place where guests from Israel and abroad can find rest and refreshment for body, soul and spirit. Since we moved to this house in 2010, it has hosted over a hundred people at no cost, small groups, families, individuals, servants of God and people on a holiday, even freshly married couples during their honeymoon. We enjoy our guests and learn from each of them. We often feel that we have “shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.” (Hebrews 13:2)
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
- Matthew 11:28-30
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
- Isaiah 40:29-30
